Mary Lee’s House Overview: This presentation provides an overview of the core partners of Mary Lee’s House- Child Protection Team, Child Advocacy Center and the Crisis Center and how they all work together for the safety and well being of the child.

Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children: This prevention training program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children as well as organizations that serve youth. This Training is 3 hours. This training is targeted to organizations working with children to include churches and daycares.

First Responder Training: This presentation provides tips, techniques, examples, and guidelines in how to conduct an initial interview with a child. The presentation focuses on Child Sexual Abuse allegations; however, the tools gained from the presentation are applicable to any child abuse or child witness to violence investigation. The presentation is tailored specifically to Law Enforcement and Child Protective Investigators.

How to Identify and Report Child Abuse: This training reviews identifying child maltreatment and reviews what occurs once a call has been made to the Abuse Hotline1-800-96-ABUSE. This training is 90 minutes.

Safe Baby Training: This one hour workshop teaches how to keep your baby safe from the top three preventable causes of infant death. The training aims to teach parents how to choose a safe caregiver for their children, prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome, and promote safe sleep. The ultimate goal is to prevent infant mortality and protect our community’s children. The Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County offers trainings using certified trainers in the Safe Baby Curriculum. Materials may be available on request.
