The programs housed in Mary Lee’s House provide general and trauma counseling services, prevention services, medical assessments and consultations, psychological evaluations, specialized interviews, family psycho-social assessments, developmental screenings, depositions, and forensic interviews.
Are children ever housed at Mary Lee’s House?
No, children never live in the house.
Do children seen at Mary Lee’s House enter foster care?
In certain situations children served at Mary Lee’s House do enter shelters or foster care services.
Does Mary Lee’s House continue to need funding?
Mary Lee’s House is a 90% privately funded institution and we depend on the continuing generosity of the community.
How are children referred to Mary Lee’s House?
Child abuse is never reported directly to Mary Lee’s House. We do not investigate new reports of child abuse. Children are referred to us from outside organizations.
Do you have to be referred to benefit from the programs offered in Mary Lee’s House?
Yes, for most of our programs you must be referred to us, however anyone can self-refer to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay for general or trauma counseling services. |
